Review by the NYCHA Board
The NYCHA board must vote to approve all sales, demolition plans, leases with private parties, Section 18 applications to be submitted to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and annual plans.
The NYCHA Board comprises seven members appointed by the Mayor, including three resident members and one designated Chair. The Chair is the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority and is responsible for the supervision of the business and affairs of the Authority.
